Honda Malaysia Introduces New 8-Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty

Honda Malaysia has introduced an upgraded eight-year unlimited mileage warranty for its new petrol and e hybrid vehicles, effective 1 September 2026.

The new programme marks an upgrade from the previous five-year unlimited mileage warranty. Based on the details announced, the extended eight-year coverage mainly focuses on important powertrain and transmission components, giving customers longer protection for key mechanical parts.

The new warranty is also offered alongside Honda Malaysia’s existing ownership benefits, including five free labour services within five years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first.

For customers choosing Honda’s e hybrid models, there is an additional 10-year unlimited mileage warranty covering the hybrid battery and related electrical components. This programme has been available since 1 May 2026 under Honda’s “Hybrid Done Right” campaign.

The 10-year hybrid coverage applies to models including the Honda City e, City Hatchback e, HR-V e, Civic e and CR-V e. It also extends to eligible existing hybrid owners, including selected previous-generation i-DCD models such as the Jazz, City and HR-V.

Meanwhile, Honda Malaysia’s fully electric e follows a separate warranty package. The EV continues to receive an eight-year or 160,000 km warranty covering its battery and electric drive system. Customers who want additional EV protection can also opt for the Honda Insurance Plus (HiP EV) package, which comes with extra EV-related benefits.
