iCaur and Public Bank Team Up to Make EVs More Affordable
iCaur Malaysia and Public Bank have joined forces to make electric vehicle (EV) ownership easier for Malaysians. The partnership is part of Public Bank’s “Go Green with Green Vehicle Financing – Paint the Town Green” campaign, which offers special financing benefits to eligible customers buying selected EV models through Public Bank.
The campaign aims to help more Malaysians switch to cleaner and more environmentally friendly vehicles by making EV financing more accessible. The partnership comes as Malaysia’s EV market continues to grow rapidly.
In the first half of 2026, EV sales in Malaysia increased by 106% year-on-year, rising from 12,733 units to 26,192 units. The Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) has also increased its 2026 forecast for xEV sales, which includes EVs, hybrids and plug-in hybrids, to 120,000 units, or around 15% of total vehicle sales.
iCaur, a new energy vehicle brand under Chery Group, is looking to grow its presence in Malaysia with models such as the iCaur 03 and iCaur V23. The brand says its partnership with Public Bank will help make EV ownership more accessible while promoting its “Born to Play” approach to electric mobility.
With EV demand continuing to rise, the collaboration shows how car financing is becoming an important part of making electric vehicles easier for Malaysians to own.
