2026 Honda City Facelift Officially Launched in Malaysia – From RM89,900

The 2026 Honda City facelift has officially gone on sale in Malaysia, marking the second facelift for the fifth-generation City sedan, which was first introduced locally in 2020. For this latest update, Honda Malaysia has dropped the entry-level S variant, leaving four variants: E, V, RS and e RS. Prices start from RM89,900 for the City 1.5L E, followed by RM94,900 for the V, RM99,900 for the RS and RM111,900 for the e RS. All prices are on-the-road without insurance. The first 2,400 buyers will also receive a RM3,000 rebate, applicable to all variants.

The facelift brings a refreshed exterior featuring a new front bumper, slimmer LED projector headlights and a redesigned grille. The RS variants receive a sportier appearance with a grille light bar and additional black exterior elements, while the rear gets a redesigned bumper and updated styling details.

Inside, the overall layout remains familiar but the higher variants receive several technology upgrades. The V and RS now feature a larger 10-inch Display Audio touchscreen, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto available on the V. The system is also paired with a 360-degree camera featuring multiple viewing angles and moving object detection.

Safety equipment has also been improved, with the City continuing to offer Honda Sensing as standard. New features include blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert, working alongside the existing LaneWatch system.

Powertrain options remain unchanged. The petrol variants continue with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated i-VTEC engine producing 121 PS and 145 Nm, paired with a CVT. Meanwhile, the e RS retains its hybrid system, with the electric motor producing 109 PS and 253 Nm.

The 2026 Honda City facelift also comes with Honda Malaysia's new eight-year, unlimited-mileage warranty, while the e receives an additional 10-year warranty for its hybrid components. Overall, the latest City focuses on a refreshed design, upgraded technology and additional safety features while retaining its existing powertrain options.
