2026 Proton S70 Lite & Prime Launched From RM56,800

Proton has officially introduced the 2026 S70 Lite and S70 Prime, expanding the S70 range with more affordable variants focused on everyday practicality, comfort and convenience.

Both variants are powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated i-GT engine paired with a CVT with torque converter. The S70 Lite is priced at RM59,800, while the Prime costs RM62,800, excluding insurance. With a RM3,000 early-bird rebate, the effective prices are reduced to RM56,800 and RM59,800 respectively for customers who complete booking and registration by December 31, 2026.

The new S70 variants are available in five colours: Quartz Black, Marine Blue, Space Grey, Snow White and Armour Silver. Proton said the S70 has averaged more than 2,500 monthly sales in 2026, while the new Lite and Prime have already collected over 10,000 bookings within two weeks since bookings opened on September 7.

The S70 Lite and Prime offer class-leading cabin space and rear shoulder room, with a near-flat rear floor providing greater comfort for three rear passengers. Other convenience features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Electric Parking Brake with Auto Brake Hold, remote engine start and up to five USB ports.

Safety equipment includes six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, a reverse camera and Rear Side Radar System, featuring functions such as Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Door Opening Warning and Rear Collision Warning. Both variants also come with three selectable drive modes.

Every S70 i-GT 1.5 purchase includes a five-year unlimited-mileage warranty and six free-labour services. Customers can also access financing of up to nine years, trade-in support of up to RM2,000, and optional Proton insurance coverage under Pro-Shield.

For after-sales support, Proton offers Fast Service and One-Day Service Delivery, while vehicles requiring repairs exceeding three working days may qualify for a relief car and one complimentary service.
