2026 Proton S70 MC2 NA Gets 10,000 Bookings In Two Weeks, Launches Tonight

Proton’s upcoming 2026 S70 MC2 naturally aspirated (NA) variants have received 10,000 bookings in just two weeks, showing strong interest ahead of the model’s official launch.

The new S70 variants were first opened for bookings on September 7, 2026, with Proton confirming that the new S70 Lite and S70 Prime will be positioned at an estimated price of below RM60,000.

According to Proton, the 10,000 bookings translate to approximately one booking every two minutes since orders opened. The new variants are powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated i-GT four-cylinder engine, paired with a CVT automatic transmission, providing an alternative to the turbocharged S70 variants.

The S70 Lite and Prime are designed to make the C-segment sedan more accessible, while retaining key features such as six airbags, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electric parking brake with Auto Brake Hold and rear-side radar.

The 2026 Proton S70 MC2 is scheduled to be officially launched on September 22, 2026, at 8:00 PM. The launch is expected to reveal the official pricing, specifications and full details of the new S70 Lite and Prime variants.

With the new range expected to start below RM60,000, the S70 is set to offer Malaysian buyers a more affordable entry point into a C-segment sedan. The official launch and pricing will be revealed tonight at 8 PM.
